Where are they now?: In 1999: Berrini performs energy audits and marketing in Pennsylvania. Landis chairs a department at the medical school of Northeastern Ohio University. A link to his vita. Mathieson volunteers at a soup kitchen. Grant teaches science at Holyoke Community College and has authored numerous books.

Notes: The first racially integrated squad to appear on NBC, the team received death threats because of their ethnic diversity. The school was a last-minute substitute, and only had six weeks to choose their team and practice. Upon their return from New York following the Norwich victory, a crowd greeted them at the airport with a hero's welcome. The win was the first national publicity the school, then the University of Kansas City, ever received.
Where are they now?: Hayes, a chemist who later taught at Missouri-Kansas City, died in 1992. 2003: Easter retired from "a 30-year career in civil service" with the University of Minnesota. Marcus is Professor Emeritus at Cornell and a professor at Florida International University. Williams became education editor at the National Gallery of Art, and is now retired.
